If you are a WordPress user, you probably know what plug-ins are. In this article, I’m going to talk about 11 WordPress plug-ins that you should have to keep your blog going.
Add To Any
Add to any is a pretty cool plug-in because it adds a little box at the bottom of posts or pages (you can choose) that allows your readers to share/bookmark your post. Add to any showcases over 100 ways to bookmark/share the content, so no reader gets left out. Social bookmarking can really help out your website.
After the Deadline
After the deadline is used to check grammar and spelling. It also checks for cliches, passive voices, complex expressions, and much more. With this plug-in, you can easily put out perfect sounding content. No one wants to read horribly spelled bad grammar!
All in One SEO Pack
This plug-in is great for managing SEO, also known as Search Engine Optimization. With All in one seo pack, you can easily change titles, descriptions, and keywords. After using this plug-in, I noticed a large spark in search engine traffic. Best of all, it’s really easy to use!

CommentLuv is a great plug-in because it rewards your readers for commenting. When checked, it goes into the commentator’s RSS feed and pulls out their latest post, then links to it below the comment. Since it gives readers a free link back to their content, they will be motivated to comment.
SEO Slugs, much like All in One SEO Pack, helps enable search engine bots to better view your website. SEO Slugs shortens down links by removing words like “a” or “the”. This helps readers remember the links, as well as bots to view them. Although it does just one small thing, it helps your website rank higher on search engines.
SEO Smart Links
SEO Smart Links is yet another plug-in that will help you rank in search engines. This plug-in enables custom keywords for each plugin (your content will get ranked via the keywords you use). If you use all three of the SEO plug-ins I mentioned, you will easily rank higher for search terms in NO TIME!
Subscribe Here Widget
This plug-in creates two buttons in your sidebar (wherever you put the widget). One button reads “Subscribe to RSS” and will allow readers to subscribe to your RSS feed. The other will allow your readers to subscribe to your feed via email, so they get emailed every time you release an article.
Subscribe to Comments
Subscribe to Comments allows readers to get emailed when a new comment in put onto that article. So, let’s say you want to get notified if I comment on this article. You can simply check the box under the comment box to do so. That is really the sole purpose of this plug-in.
W3 Total Cache
W3 Total Cache is a caching plug-in that will help speed up your blog. It is very light weight, easy to use and customize, and provides a lot of features that will make your website lightning fast.
This plug-in will add nice little page 1…2…3… etc. buttons to the bottom of your home page. If you have multiple articles, this plug-in will replace WordPress’ default “Previous” and “Next” page buttons, giving a nice visual to your readers. It’s also VERY easy to use.
WordPress DB Backup
This last plug-in is one that saved Gauravheera.com. It backs up your database which contains posts, comments, and pages. If your database every fails and it gets whipped out, this plug-in will give you a back-up (you must have backed it up before hand). Even better, you can schedule backups to be emailed to you. I have a backup sent to my email twice a day, so I am almost guaranteed to never lose anything.
You can use these plugins at your blog and make your blogging experience feels good. if you still have any questions or want to share your experiences with above listed or any other plugins you can comment below.
